Paragon is proud to announce the successful completion of its third Nuclear Safety Culture Assessment (NSCA) — a significant milestone that reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to the highest standards of safety in the nuclear industry.
A Continued Commitment to Safety Culture
Nuclear Safety Culture Assessments are a critical tool for ensuring that organizations serving the nuclear industry maintain the same rigorous safety standards as the operating power plants they support. For Paragon, this third assessment represents more than a milestone — it’s proof of a sustained, company-wide commitment to embedding safety into every level of the organization, from the shop floor to the executive suite.
Led by Utilities Service Alliance
This year’s assessment was led by the Utilities Service Alliance, Inc. (USA), whose industry-leading NSCA process is used at operating nuclear power plants across the country and has been customized for use with supply chain partners like Paragon. Paragon extends its sincere thanks to the USA assessment team for their expertise, thoroughness, and partnership throughout the process, conducted at Paragon’s Fort Worth office.
The USA process provides an independent, rigorous evaluation of an organization’s safety culture, benchmarked against the same standards applied within the nuclear utility fleet itself. Completing this assessment for a third time demonstrates Paragon’s continued alignment with those standards and its commitment to strengthening safety culture as an ongoing practice, not a one-time achievement.
A Team Effort, Inside and Out
This achievement was made possible by the collaboration of both external and internal partners. In addition to the USA assessment team’s leadership, a number of internal Paragon peers stepped up to help guide and coordinate the effort — organizing logistics, engaging employees across departments, and ensuring the assessment reflected an honest, complete picture of the company’s safety culture.
